Potassium Chloride

Being the best chemical feedstock, the potassium chloride used by us is mainly used in the manufacturing of potassium metal and potassium hydroxide. Also, Blueline Industry manufactures potassium chloride to be used in lethal injections, medicine, scientific applications, food processing soaps, etc.

In the petroleum and natural gas operations, our potassium chloride is used in the water as the completion fluid. The best part is that it is used as an alternative to the sodium chloride that is used in the household water softener units.

Using As A Great Fertilizer

Most of our potassium chloride is used for making fertilizer, called potash since the growth of many plants is limited by potassium availability.

Now the two major kinds of potash are muriate of potash and sulphate of potash. While sulphate potash are sold at a premium to muriate of potash, majority of potash fertilizer worldwide is sold as muriate of potash.

Usage In Food Industry

Our potassium chloride is a great salt substitute. However, due to its weak, bitter, unsalty flavor, it is commonly mixed with ordinary table salt to improve the taste to form low sodium salt.

Usage In Industries

Being a chemical feedstock, or potassium salt is used for the manufacture of potassium hydroxide and potassium metal. Also, it is used in medicine, lethal injections, scientific applications, food processing, soaps, and as a sodium-free substitute for table salt for people concerned about the health effects of sodium.

Additionally, it is used as a supplement for animal feed to boost the number of nutrients in the feed. This would in turn promote healthy growth in animals. As an added benefit, it is known to increase milk production.

Of course, it is commonly used in water as a completion fluid in petroleum and natural gas operations, as well as being an alternative to sodium chloride in household water softener units.

Many glass manufacturers use granular potash as a flux, to lower the temperature at which a mixture melts. As potash confers excellent clarity to glass, it is commonly used in eyeglasses, glassware, televisions, and computer monitors.

Our potassium chloride are even used as fire extinguishing agent, used in portable and wheeled fire extinguishers. Known as Super-K dry chemical, it was more effective than sodium bicarbonate-based dry chemicals and was compatible with protein foam. Along with sodium chloride and lithium chloride, potassium chloride is used as a flux for the gas welding of aluminum.

Usage In Medical Industry

The potassium chloride we produce is vital in the human body and is the common means to treat low blood potassium, although it can also be given intravenously.
