Specialty Chemicals are a particular kind of chemical products that are commonly used in various kinds of industries. At Blue Line Industries, we categorize these specialized chemicals into agrichemicals, adhesives, cleaning materials, cosmetic additives, etc.
Also, the chemicals supplied by us are used in other industrial sectors like automobile, food, cosmetic, aerospace, agriculture, textile, and manufacturing, etc. Additionally, the specialty chemicals produced by us are done in batch chemical plants and they use the batch processing methods.
Specialty chemicals are usually manufactured in batch chemical plants using batch processing techniques. Here we follow a batch process in which a defined quantity of product is made from a fixed input of raw materials during a measured period of time.
Our batch process consists of adding accurately measured amounts of starting materials into a vessel followed by a series of processes involving mixing, heating, cooling, making more chemical reactions, distillation, crystallization, separation, drying, packaging etc. These take place at predetermined and scheduled intervals.
Also, our manufacturing procedures are supported by activities such as the quality testing, storage, warehousing, logistics of the products, and management by recycling, treatment, and disposal of by-products, and waste streams. Additionally, for the next batch, our equipment is cleaned and the above procedures are repeated again.
Most of our specialty chemicals are just organic chemicals. These are used in a wide range of everyday products, like the ones used by consumers and industry. In contrast to the production of commodity chemicals that are usually made on large scale single product manufacturing units to achieve economies of scale, our units are much flexible as we are aware that the products, raw materials, procedures, and operating conditions along with equipment would get modified on a regular basis to as per the needs of customers.
From the perspective of chemical engineers, our technology of the production of specialty chemicals involves the use of chemical processes such as chemical reactions and refining methods to produce a wide variety of solid, liquid, and gaseous materials. Here common of such products would be used for manufacturing other items. But a smaller number would be directly for the consumers. Solvents, pesticides, lye, washing soda, and portland cement provide a few examples of the product used by consumers.
The processes and products or products are usually tested during and after manufacture by dedicated instruments and on-site quality control laboratories to ensure safe operation and to assure that the product will meet the required specifications.
